Dear patient/family member,
Now that school has started, it is time to start preparing for keeping you/your child healthy this fall and winter. The optimal time to be immunized against influenza is right now through October 31st – get your vaccine before Halloween (“Flu before Boo”)! All individuals ages 6 months and older are encouraged to get an annual flu vaccine to reduce risk of infection and complications/hospitalization from the illness.
We now have flu vaccine available for our patients through age 18 years old and you can schedule a time to get your flu vaccine at our office.
- For patients with commercial/private insurance over the age of 18, we will post when we have flu vaccine available or you can go to a local pharmacy to get your flu shot.
- If your child has never received a flu vaccine before and is under age 8 years old, 2 doses are needed (spaced at least 1 month apart) to get the full benefit of the vaccine this season. You can self-schedule an appointment directly in patient gateway by following the instructions below. If you prefer to schedule by phone, please contact our office to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience at 508-947-0630.
To schedule in Patient Gateway (fastest and easiest way):
–open up the “menu” (three horizontal lines stacked on eachother)
–go to “Schedule an Appointment”
–scroll down and select “flu shot”
–select “Middleboro Pediatrics” for the location
–Read the instructions then click on an available time/date and you are done!
If you don’t see a time/date which works for you, you may call the office to see if there are additional dates/time slots available.
